1. Overview
We believe in transparency. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we collect only the minimum information required for account security, game functionality, purchases, and preventing abuse.
When we say “we”, “us”, or “our”, we mean the team behind Game For Friends. When we say “you”, we mean players, hosts, and creators who use the app.
2. Data we collect
We only collect data that helps the game work and stay secure:
- Account information: email, username, and a password hash (we never store plain-text passwords).
- Gameplay data: rooms, packs, answers, scores, and in-game actions such as joining, leaving, and winning games.
- Purchase data: subscriptions, purchased packs, and payment history processed securely via Stripe or other payment providers.
- Technical data: cookies, device type, browser information, and IP address (for security, fraud prevention, and basic analytics).
3. How we use your data
We use your data strictly to provide and improve the service:
- Authenticate your account and keep you signed in
- Save your packs, games, scores, and progress
- Host stable multiplayer rooms for you and your friends
- Process subscriptions and one-time purchases
- Protect the game from spam, bots, and cheating
- Understand usage trends through anonymous or aggregated analytics
We do not use your personal data to build advertising profiles, and we do not show third-party ads inside the app.
